What We Fix

Jet ski repair, body and engine

Jet ski repair covers two things, the hull and the machine, and we handle both. A fiberglass hull is closer to a car body than most owners realize, and the engine is mechanical work we already do every day. So at our Brooklyn shop the watercraft gets repaired the way a vehicle does, structure and surface on one side, diagnostics and mechanical on the other. Here is what we take on.

Fiberglass & Hull RepairCracked, gouged, or holed fiberglass rebuilt and faired back to the original hull line.
Gelcoat & RefinishingDull, chipped, or oxidized gelcoat cut, polished, and color matched to blend in.
Engine & Mechanical RepairWon’t start, runs rough, or down on power, diagnosed and repaired by our techs.
Spark Plugs & Tune-UpsSpark plugs, fluids, and fuel system service so the engine runs clean again.
Collision & Impact DamageDock hits, trailer damage, and on-water impacts repaired structurally, then refinished.
Scratches & ScuffsSurface scratches and scuffs cut out and refinished until the damage disappears.
DetailingA full clean-up and polish so the watercraft heads back to the marina looking new.
Marina Pickup & ReturnWe collect the jet ski from your dock or marina and bring it back when it’s done.

Cracked hull or just a scuff,
we get it back on the water.

How It Works

From your marina and back

You should not have to wrangle a trailer across Brooklyn to get a jet ski fixed. So we handle the moving part too.

1

Call or send photos

Tell us the brand, the model, and what happened. A couple of photos of the damage is usually enough for us to tell you what the repair looks like.

2

We pick it up

We arrange pickup from your marina, dock, or driveway and bring the watercraft to the Brooklyn shop. No trailer hunt, no haul across the city.

3

Repair and refinish

Fiberglass and structural work first, then gelcoat or paint color matched to the hull, then detailing if you want it. You get updates as it moves.

4

Back on the water

We return the finished watercraft to your marina. You skip the logistics and go straight to the part you actually care about, riding it.

Brands We Work On

Every personal watercraft brand

Gelcoat and fiberglass repair isn’t tied to a manufacturer, so the badge on the hull doesn’t change what we can do.

Engine and mechanical repair, not just the hull

The word repair is in our name for a reason. A jet ski that won’t start, runs rough, or loses power is a mechanical problem, and our technicians track it down the same way they troubleshoot a car. Fouled spark plugs, a fuel system gummed up after the watercraft sat all winter, low or dirty fluids, weak compression in a cylinder. We find the actual cause before throwing parts at it.

From a basic tune-up to deeper engine work, we handle the mechanical side right alongside the fiberglass and the finish. The right parts get sourced, worn ones get replaced, and the performance comes back. You ride off on a watercraft that runs as good as it looks.

Mechanical work we take on

  • Won’t start, hard to start, or stalls out
  • Spark plug replacement and full tune-ups
  • Runs rough, bogs down, or loses power
  • Fuel system cleaning and fluid changes
  • Cylinder and compression diagnostics
  • Worn parts sourced and replaced

How You Pay

Insurance repair or out-of-pocket, your call

Some jet ski damage is covered by a policy. A lot of it gets paid direct. We handle the watercraft either way, and we tell you which path makes sense before you commit to anything.

Covered by insurance

We document it and deal with your carrier

If the damage falls under your watercraft policy, we photograph and write up the full scope, then work with your insurer to get the repair approved, the same process we run on collision claims every day.

You handle the deductible. We handle the back-and-forth.

Paying direct

A straight estimate, no surprises

Rather pay out of pocket? You get a free written estimate before any work starts, so the number is set before we touch the hull. No padding, no mystery line items.

Insurance or not, the repair gets done right. Start a covered job with the Direction to Pay form.

Why Exclusive

Why bring a jet ski to Exclusive?

Because both halves of the job live under one roof. The hull is fiberglass with a gelcoat finish, and rebuilding cracked fiberglass, filling a gouge, and color matching is exactly what a body shop does to a damaged car all day. The engine is mechanical work, and that’s the other half of what we do. Charlie Garcia has run Exclusive for over a decade and the team has worked on thousands of vehicles, so a watercraft gets the same eye for a clean repair, body and engine alike.

One shop for the whole job. Bodywork, mechanical repair, refinishing, and detailing in one place, plus pickup from the marina, so a damaged Sea-Doo or Yamaha isn’t a project you coordinate across three different shops. You make one call. We take it from there.

Common Questions

Jet ski repair in Brooklyn, NY: FAQs

The questions watercraft owners ask us most. Still unsure? Call and we’ll talk it through.

Do you really repair jet skis, or just cars?
Both. Exclusive Collision & Repair is an auto body shop in Brooklyn, and we also fix jet skis and boats. The skills carry over more than people expect, fiberglass, gelcoat, color matching, and impact repair are the same craft on a hull as they are on a fender. So yes, bring us the watercraft.
What kind of jet ski repairs do you handle?
Both sides of it. On the body, cracked and gouged fiberglass, damaged gelcoat, collision and impact damage, scuffs, and cosmetic refinishing. On the mechanical side, engine trouble, spark plugs, tune-ups, fuel system service, and the diagnostics to find what is actually wrong. We also detail. Body or engine, it’s the kind of repair we run every day on cars.
My jet ski won’t start or runs rough, can you fix the engine?
Yes. A watercraft that won’t start, stalls, or loses power is a mechanical problem, and we are a repair shop, not just a body shop. Our techs diagnose it, fouled spark plugs, a gummed-up fuel system after sitting, low or dirty fluids, weak compression, then fix the cause instead of guessing. You get a real diagnosis before any parts go in.
Do you replace spark plugs and do tune-ups on jet skis?
We do. Spark plugs, fluids, and fuel system cleaning are routine maintenance that keep a personal watercraft running right, especially after it has been sitting. Bring it in for a tune-up and we’ll get the engine running clean before the season picks up.
Do you pick up my jet ski from the marina?
Yes. Tell us where it sits and we’ll arrange pickup from your marina or dock, bring it to the Brooklyn shop, and return it when the work is done. You don’t need to figure out a trailer or haul it across the city yourself.
Will insurance cover my jet ski repair?
It can. We handle both insurance repairs and out-of-pocket jobs. If your watercraft is covered and the damage falls under your policy, we document it and work with your carrier the same way we do on a collision claim. If you would rather pay direct, we give you a straight estimate up front either way.
What brands of personal watercraft do you work on?
All the major ones, Sea-Doo, Yamaha WaveRunner, Kawasaki Jet Ski, and Honda. Fiberglass and gelcoat repair isn’t brand-specific, so the make of your PWC doesn’t change whether we can help. Tell us the model when you call and we’ll know what to expect.
How much does jet ski repair cost in Brooklyn?
It depends on the damage. A small gelcoat chip or a scuff is a minor job; a cracked hull or impact damage runs higher. You get a free written estimate before any work starts, so there is no guessing, whether the bill goes to your insurer or to you.
How long does jet ski repair take?
Smaller cosmetic and gelcoat work can turn around in a few days. Structural fiberglass repair or anything that needs to cure and be refinished takes longer. We give you a real timeline after we see the watercraft in person, not a number over the phone we can’t stand behind.
Can you fix cracked or damaged fiberglass on a jet ski?
Yes. Fiberglass and gelcoat repair is core body shop work. We rebuild the damaged area, fair it back to the original contour, and color match the gelcoat or paint so the repair blends into the rest of the hull instead of standing out.
Do you detail jet skis too?
We do. A lot of owners bring a watercraft in for repair and have us detail it in the same visit, so it goes back to the marina looking the way it did the day they bought it. Ask when you book and we’ll fold it into the job.
Can you get scratches and scuffs out so it looks new again?
Most of the time, yes. Surface scratches, scuffs, and dull gelcoat respond well to cutting, polishing, and refinishing. Deeper gouges get filled and refinished. The goal is the same as on a car, a finish where you can’t tell the damage was ever there.
Where are you located and what areas do you serve?
We are at 28 Marginal St W, Brooklyn, NY 11207, in Cypress Hills. We repair watercraft for owners across Brooklyn and the wider tri-state, and we pick up from marinas around the area so distance isn’t the thing that stops you.
How do I get a quote for jet ski repair?
